Weddings

The first step in celebrating marriage.

Before you book anything, a couple considering the Sacrament of Matrimony needs to have a chat with Reverend Andrew.

You need to think about what an Anglican wedding involves so you can make a decision on whether that’s the path you would both like to go down:

  • Why would you like God to be part of your special day?
  • Do you feel Andrew is the right person to celebrate the beautiful sacrament of marriage with you?
  • What preparation is involved?

Once you’ve considered these things, the next step is to check availability – remember, you’re booking your priest, not the chapel. It’s wise to sort this out before locking in reception venues, caterers and other arrangements. Many couples have been disappointed when they couldn’t proceed with a church wedding because they did things in the wrong order!

Rev Andrew is authorised to celebrate weddings within a church or chapel and other wedding venues including outdoors. Our regular worship venue, the Chapel at Lota House, is a delightful space, suitable for an intimate wedding.

To begin the discussion, you can fill in our Contact form or contact Rev Andrew directly by phone or email.

May you have a deep sense of God’s love surrounding you as you consider this most profound step in your life together.
