See Ya Seaside… For Now!
We bid farewell to Sunday Sunset Stare at the Sea… for the time being. Paul and Ailsa Gill, Erica Byrne, Nick and Jen Crisp and Fr Josh Nash joined Fr Andrew for our final seaside session last Sunday. We rejoice in all the folk who have joined us over the weeks.
This Season of Creation special series has been an inspiring time of slowing down, allowing space to just be in God’s wonderful creation and notice things. Noticing is a bit of gift. Our staring at the sea…. and gazing at the garden… is a pretty precious thing when we can be aware of detail that we miss in the normal hustle and bustle of things. We enjoyed the sense that God is often in the hidden detail. In the glint of light on the crest of a wave… in the soft velvet fuzz of the underside of a leaf… in the bright gust of wind and the gentle breeze…. and in the ever changing yet ever constant ebb and flow of the tides. We can do this any time but its great to share it !
We pondered profound questions of life, the universe and everything. We raised questions and dared to dream about the infinite possibility of God. All big stuff in what seems very simple on the surface… gathering, quietening, watching, listening … and sharing thoughts and a refreshing beverage.
Watch this space for regular offerings inspired by Staring at the Sea.
