An Inclusive Church

St Paul’s is an inclusive church. We welcome all, offering opportunities for anyone seeking an authentic spiritual community regardless of marital status, age, gender or sexual identity. We are passionate about the Gospel call to peace making, reconciliation, justice, and the care of creation.

In June 2019 Parish Council passed the following motion.

St Paul’s Anglican Church, Manly, adopts the Inclusive Church UK statement of faith (amended) “We believe in an inclusive church – church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, age, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality. We believe in church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ”; and, in so doing, affiliates with Inclusive Church UK and Australia.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Quandamooka people and their elders past, present and emerging. We honour the connection the traditional custodians have with this land.

The 2021–2023 Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan of the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane provides a framework for parishes, schools, ministries and Commissions to engage with and support the national Reconciliation movement.
